6 Reasons You Keep Getting Acne
Most people think acne is caused by oil. If you keep getting acne, the real reason may not be what you think.
A lot of people ask me the same question:
“Why do I keep breaking out even when I take good care of my skin?”
The truth is, acne has many different triggers.
From my experience, there are six common ones.
First, environment.
Some people notice their acne gets worse in certain cities because of pollution, humidity, or climate.
Second, stress.
When stress increases, it can stimulate oil production and trigger breakouts.
Third, poor sleep.
Late nights and lack of sleep can increase inflammation in the skin.
Fourth, hormonal changes.
Many women experience breakouts around the chin and mouth before their period.
Fifth, skin barrier damage or dryness.
When the skin becomes dehydrated, it can disrupt oil balance and make acne worse.
And sixth, diet — especially high‑sugar foods or dairy products like milk and cheese.
For many people, the first four factors are difficult to control.
But improving skin hydration and adjusting diet can make a big difference.
In our studio, we usually start with a VISIA skin analysis,
followed by deep cleansing and hydrating treatments to help restore the skin’s balance.
We also offer skin barrier repair facials when needed.
Because acne has many different triggers, improvement takes time, patience, and consistent skincare.
Acne care isn’t just about removing pimples.
It’s about restoring balance to the skin.
